Farrier has been.

Played with Tia last night to get her ready for farrier coming. Still having problems with circle game and figure 8... I think she's testing my leadership! Do I need to be firmer and clearer or have more patience!!! not sure! 50 - 50 chance I know. I'm hoping to speak to Tracey to see how Tia was with her, and what she thinks is the problem.
Tia was a star for the farrier, but she did go introverted when he was doing the last hoof, I had to ask Mick to slow down and give her sometime, which helped a lot she soon picked her head up and started blinking again. I also noticed she went introverted when I asked her to put her foot on something.... I'm going to take it slowly but keep asking.

  1. I've read a few of your post and enjoy reading them. Maybe you should try both being firmer and clearer AND have more patience. Just a thought.

    Have a good day,

  2. hi Gina
It seems a little strange that someone else is even reading what I write! but glad you're enjoying it.
I'm more and more convinced that she is flipping rb to lb quickly, and I've just got to get the timing right, so yes do all of them!

  3. Haha, you'd be amazed at the amount of blogs I read, but yours is one of my favorites! What horsenality is she most of the time?

  4. in the field with the other horses, and when she's with me for ut, lbi. I was told when I bought her that she was rbi and that was definately how she was acting at the time. she does seem to flit all over the chart, but I would say mainly lbi. being used to a rbi that tried her heart out for me, this is definately different but interesting!

  5. Well it's really good you can tell when she switches back and forth. Some people think that when they get their horse a horsenality that's what they are all the time. But you really have to watch to see your doing the right thing at the right time for the right horsenality! haha. sounds like you're doing well with that aspect!
